    Northern Archaeological Consultancy

Northern Archaeological Consultancy Ltd is Northern Ireland's first home-grown archaeological consultancy.

Founded in 1997, we pride ourselves on our in-depth knowledge of the archaeological requirements of Northern Ireland’s planning process as it affects our clients in the construction industry. NAC have a great deal of experience of working with the private and public sector in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and have an excellent working relationship with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency.

We can provide a large number of services related to archaeological mitigation including archaeological impact assessment, monitoring, excavation, surveying and post-excavation analysis.

NAC only employ the most experienced archaeologists, we carefully vet all staff and follow a policy of employing qualified archaeologists only. All of our staff have been trained to the highest health and safety practises and hold valid CSR cards. Our archaeologists have been locally trained, and therefore have an extremely good knowledge of Irish archaeology.

Since 1997 NAC has carried out a wide variety of developer-funded archaeological mitigation projects on behalf of many clients in both the public and private sector. In the process we have uncovered evidence of the earliest occupation of Ireland, through all the prehistoric and historic periods, into the industrial age and early 20th century.
