    Heritage Angel Awards 2017 – Featuring ‘Heritage in Song’!

    Join us at the inaugural Heritage Angel Awards for Northern Ireland. Featuring Heritage in Song. All welcome.

    Tuesday 7th November, 7pm at the Grand Opera House, Belfast.

    These awards aim to celebrate unsung angels of local heritage, individuals and groups who have rescued an historic building, completed heritage projects, worked as craftsmen or apprentices, or recorded and interpreted a historic place. Lead funded Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation. Also supported in 2017 by Heritage Lottery Fund and Department for Communities. Hosted by Wendy Austin MBE, the awards night will feature specially written material on Belfast’s historic buildings led by singer/songwriter, Brigid O’Neill, Duke Special, Anthony Toner and Gareth Dunlop with the Ulster Youth Orchestra.

    Also featuring comedian Nuala McKeever, and poet Ciaran Carson.

    Award Categories:

    •Best Rescue of a Historic Building

    •Best Contribution to a Heritage Project by Young People (25 and under)

    •Best Craftsperson or Apprentice on a Heritage Rescue or Repair Project

    •Best Rescue, Recording or Interpretation of a Historic Place
