Young Archaeologist's Club

YAC is the only UK-wide archaeology club for young people aged up to seventeen.  Want to get involved?  YAC has two parts to it:

1. YAC UK

YAC UK is a magazine subscription package aimed at 8 to 16 year olds interested in archaeology. As a YAC UK member you get a brilliant membership pack containing:

* a welcome letter signed by Tony Robinson, the Club's president

* four copies a year of our exclusive Young Archaeologist magazine, packed with amazing stories of recent discoveries, activities to try, competitions to enter, a special Time Team report in every issue, items written by YAC UK members and lots more

* a YAC Pass giving free or discounted entry to more than 170 independent museums and heritage sites across the UK as well as offers with English Heritage, Historic Scotland, CADW, Manx National Heritage and the Northern Ireland Environment Forum and exclusive deals with a range of other fab organisations

* a colourful membership certificate, pin badge and membership card

You can join YAC UK on-line by following the link: www.yac-uk.org/shop or visit www.yac-uk.org to find out more.  Joining YAC UK does not give automatic access to YAC Branches, see below.

2. Local YAC Branches

Branches meet once a month, usually on a Saturday, and are run by volunteers who are checked and approved by YAC HQ in York. Branches may make their own charges.  To find details of your nearest Branch, and to see if they have places available, please follow the link: www.yac-uk.org/yac_branches_list.html
