Heritage Lottery Fund
Funding for the Regeneration of Conservation Areas

Thu 1st July 2010, Antrim Courthouse

Using money raised through the National Lottery, the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) sustains and transforms a wide range of heritage for present and future generations to take part in, learn from and enjoy.  From museums, parks and historic places to archaeology, natural environment and cultural traditions, we invest in every part of our diverse heritage.

Through our Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) programme, we offer grants of between £500,000 and £2million for projects that help communities to regenerate designated Conservation Areas.  THI is a UK-wide competitive programme which encourages partnerships of local organisations to restore a number of historic buildings, structures or spaces within these areas. The aim of the grant programme is not only to help conserve their heritage but also to aid social and economic regeneration and help to improve the quality of life for all those who live, work or visit the conservation areas.

In Northern Ireland, the THI programme has been hugely successful having already provided funding of over £13million for 20 schemes.  HLF Northern Ireland is keen to support local applicants prepare their submissions to meet the Round One submission deadline of 30 November 2010.

The seminar will provide essential information about the programme, the application process and how to access further support from HLF.  It will also showcase the successes achieved by previous applicants. HLF would strongly advise those operating with Conservation Areas or those considering making an application to the THI programme to attend.

To register your attendance please contact our office as soon as possible, but no later than 18 June 2010:
