The Rural College in partnership with The Ulster Local History Trust
Local Tour Guides - Training Options?

Sat 11th September 2010, The Rural College Draperstown

These exploratory discussions have been organised by The Rural College in partnership with the Ulster Local History Trust and the programme is open to all.  Representatives from various agencies and organisations will be present to outline the current situation regarding tour guide training in Ireland.  In recent years there have been virtually no training opportunities available in this region and, in addition, it has been felt by many that there is a need for an accredited qualification at a slightly lover level., which would provide cheaper, more accessible training from guiding throughout Ulster.

Anyone from throughout the nine counties of Ulster who has an interest in this topic will be made most welcome.  This could lead to an opportunity to develop new skills, earn extra cash, meet new people, become more confident, learn new facts and promote your district.  If interested, please contact The Rural College.
