Down County Museum
This curriculum linked visit provides an active learning experience which explores evidence for the first settlers in Ireland and compares and contrasts the range of materials and technologies introduced by them. Pupils will handle a comprehensive range of objects, take part in practical activities, work in groups nad participate in a craft acitivity.

How evidence is used
Mesolithic people, food and tools
Neolithic people, food, tools and materials
Evidence for beliefs and ritual
Bronze Age people, technology and weapons
The visit lasts one and half hours and costs £1.50 per pupil
